Steelers vs. Patriots score: Live updates, game stats, highlights of NFL Week 2 AFC showdown

PITTSBURGH – We’re doing it at Acrisure Stadium as the only team in the NFL with six Lombardi trophies will play in Week 2 of the NFL regular season.

Both teams had very different season openers. The Steelers defeated the Bengals 1-0 in overtime last Sunday. The Patriots lead 0-1 after a lackluster performance in Miami. Despite these results, the visiting Patriots had some hope of winning the game. One reason could be Bill Belichick’s 8-3 record against Mike Tomlin’s Steelers and defending Defensive Player of the Year TJ Watt’s absence from the game after an injury last week.

Sunday’s game was an interesting quarterback matchup between Mac Jones and Mitch Trubisky. In addition to last week’s loss, Jones suffered a back injury and also missed practice time due to illness. Trubisky, who put up modest numbers in his Steelers debut, is hoping to get in touch with more deep shots after several big hits last week that fell short of his goals.

Which team will come out on top? To find out, be sure to follow our live blog below for updates, highlights and analysis throughout the game.
