Absolutely terrible. Thank goodness no one is here. The owner told me he left and went home about 4 minutes before the video because he was watching WDSU while we were tracking these storms. He said he saw the tornado coming toward him and almost decided he and his staff should probably get out of here and go home to their families. He said he was grateful that he and his staff were able to spend Christmas at home with their families tomorrow. very lucky. Ron Dantin, owner of RD Audio and Upholstery in Marrero, said he left his business just four and a half minutes before the Dec. 12 tornado engulfed the business. 14. He said he left because of a warning during WDSU’s weather report. “Very lucky because I knew we’d be standing next to this piece of glass to see if we could see the tornado, it came so fast, watching the video. I didn’t want to go through this,” Dantin said. “Company surveillance footage shows the shocking moment when a tornado shattered the glass on the front of his business and ripped through the back wall of the building. Yeah, I sort of saw it as, give you a deal, you have to Dealing with it, I think I’ve been smiling since. So, feel lucky, it’s just something we have to deal with,” Dantin said. He’s just one of many people affected by the tornado, but he said he will rebuild and continue his business, which has been in its current location for 29 years.
