A man and his 17-year-old son were charged Thursday with murder in the shooting death of rapper PnB Rock at a South Los Angeles restaurant, authorities said.
Freddie Lee Trone, 40, who has not yet been arrested, and his son, who was detained Tuesday, were charged with one count of murder, two counts of second-degree robbery and one count of conspiracy to robbery, respectively.
Treone’s 38-year-old wife, Shauntel Treone, the boy’s stepmother, was also arrested on Tuesday and charged with one count of becoming an accessory to the murder.
The teenager, who remains in jail, initially appeared in juvenile court and was told to return next month. Shauntel Trone was scheduled to be arraigned later on Thursday. It is unclear whether they have hired lawyers.
Police are still searching for Freddie Lee Trone, who they say should be considered armed and dangerous.
The 30-year-old Philadelphia hip-hop artist PnB Rock, whose legal name is Rakim Allen, was shot and killed in September. 13 At Rothko’s Chicken Waffle House, eating with his girlfriend. According to investigators, a robber approached their table and demanded items from the rapper.

Police said the robbers took items from the victim and fled in a car waiting in the parking lot. Locke was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Rock is best known for his 2016 hit “Selfish,” as well as guest appearances with rapper Chance on songs by other artists including YFN Lucci’s “Everyday We Lit” and Ed Sheeran’s “Cross Me.” His latest single “Luv Me Again” was released in September. 2.
