Michael E. Tolbert of Tolbert & Tolbert LLC has been elected to the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals (NADN). According to a press release, members of the professional association include alternative dispute resolution professionals with extensive practical experience in the field of civil and commercial conflict resolution.
Membership is by invitation only. Members are among the most popular neutrals in their respective states, elected by their peers and approved by local litigators, the release said.
“This is really great news and will be a game-changer for our company,” Tolbert said. “We feel fortunate that our firm will now receive the attention of individuals across the country looking for mediators offering ADR services backed by NADN accreditation.”

Chicago-based Lou Malnati’s Pizza Company, which has grown in Schererville and Carmel, Indiana, in recent years, announced it will open a new location in Crown Point.
The new pizzeria will open at 10706 Broadway, offering takeout, delivery and catering, according to its website.
Lou Malnati opened his first pizzeria in 1971 in Lincolnwood, Illinois. After Malnati’s death in 1978, his family took over the business. Lou Malnati now has 80 locations nationwide, including seven in Indiana.
Other Indiana locations include two in Indianapolis (Broad Ripple and West 86th Street) and Greenwood. A seventh store in Avon is expected to open in 2023.
Beginning Monday, the existing Portage/Ogden Dunes South Shore Line car park will be temporarily unavailable.
The commuter rail service announced that to accommodate construction of the Double Track NWI project, the parking lot will be temporarily relocated until the project is completed in the spring of 2024, according to a release.
The Portage/Ogden Dunes car park and bus stop will be located in the recently completed South car park if riders continue to take buses between the Carroll Avenue and Gary Metro Center stations, the release said.
Interventional cardiologist Wisam Martini, MD, FACC, is now part of the Franciscan Physician Network and is accepting new patients in Munster and Dyer.
Martini, who also speaks Arabic, completed his training at the Damascus University School of Medicine in Syria. He completed his internal medicine residency at Wayne State University Detroit Medical Center in Detroit. Martini completed his Fellowship in Cardiology at the Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in Chicago and his Fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at Wayne State University in St. Louis. John’s Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit, according to a release from Franciscan.
His clinical interests are in the management of coronary interventions, stenting, atherectomy, peripheral arterial disease, varicose veins and venous disease of the lower extremities, according to a press release.
